Fly Fishing in Bretton Woods
Try your hand at angling the Ammonoosuc River, as it runs right through the resort, or any of a number of local rivers and streams, including some of NH's most pristine fly-fishing destinations. New Hampshire fishing licenses may be purchased online before your visit or the Activities Concierge, located in the Great Hall of the Omni Mount Washington Hotel, can assist you in obtaining one. Fly Fishing Rental Equipment
Fishing can take place at the stocked pond beside the main driveway to the Omni Mount Washington Hotel. Head down to the Stone Pillar Lodge, between our Golf Clubhouse and the tennis courts, to grab your gear and land a trophy fish!

If the fly fishing equipment is for fishing at the pond at Omni Mount Washington Resort, a New Hampshire fishing license is not required. All other fishing locations require a valid New Hampshire fishing license which can be purchased online or the Activities Concierge, located in the Great Hall of the Mount Washington Hotel, can assist you in obtaining one.
Art of Fly Casting Clinics
The Art of Fly Casting Clinic is an introduction to fly casting, beginning with a brief overview of the equipment needed to get you started. We then progress into teaching some of the basic fly casting techniques used by even the most avid angler. The group will then move to a stocked pond to catch the big one once everyone is feeling confident with his/her casting ability.
Casting clinics take place near the stocked pond beside the main driveway to the Omni Mount Washington Hotel. Guests will meet at the Activities Concierge Desk, located in the Great Hall of the Omni Mount Washington Hotel, 10 minutes prior to the lesson to pick up their equipment and meet their instructor. Fly casting clinics are restricted to ages 13 and up.

Activities reserved by an individual are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy. Any cancellation after that time is subject to full charge. Cancellation fees, including individual 'no shows' will be posted to the Resort Guest's room folio.
Guided Fly Fishing River Adventures
The Guided Fly Fishing River Adventure will allow you to test your skills on a classic New England trout stream located on the Omni Mount Washington Resort. In the shadow of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range, you and your guide will explore the local streams and ponds in search of the famed rainbow trout and native brook trout.
This 3-hour adventure will begin with guests meeting their River Guide at the Adventure Center located at the Bretton Woods Ski Area Base Lodge at 1:45 pm. Reservations for this excursion are required, maximum of three guests per trip, and must be made 24-hours in advance. Please contact the Adventure Center Desk at (603) 278-3335 to book your guided adventure! Please note, guests must present a valid printed fishing license from the State of New Hampshire prior to departure. If not already purchased, you may purchase a license online or the Activities Concierge can assist you in obtaining one. Guests will then be driven to the Stone Pillar Lodge to be outfitted with waders, vest, an assortment of flies, and fly rod. Then it is off to the stream!

If the River Guide deems the conditions to be unsafe and/or unsuitable for fishing we reserve the right to cancel any guided adventure. In this instance, the guest will be offered a full refund. River conditions are monitored on a daily basis.
