Guided Rock Climbing
Experience adventure in the White Mountains with one of our Guided Summer Adventures. Our Director of Guided Programs, Steve Nichipor, can take you on a summer ascent of one of New Hampshire's 4000-foot peaks, climb any number of classic rock routes or a family outing on our West Wall climb. The possibilities are endless and we have programs for everyone, from beginner to expert. Advanced reservations are required for these specialized trips in order to plan the best experience for you.
MEET STEVE NICHIPOR, DIRECTOR OF GUIDED PROGRAMS AND YOUR BACKCOUNTRY GUIDE
Steve Nichipor, Climbing and Guided Programs Director has been guiding backcountry skiing and climbing in the White Mountains for over 20 years. He has backcountry skied and studied avalanche safety all over North America. He has taught avalanche safety classes on Mt. Washington for over 10 years and has also taught in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He is a Certified Avalanche Course Leader by the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE). As an experience guide and backcountry adventurer, Steve is familiar with local trails and wonderful adventures near Bretton Woods, including ice climbing, backcountry alpine and Nordic skiing, hiking and mountaineering.
Have you experienced the West Wall Climb and are ready for more? Are you an experienced climber hoping to climb some of the classic rock routes in the White Mountains? Our experienced guides will help choose appropriate climbs for your ability and goals. Possibilities include routes on Cathedral Ledge, Cannon Cliff and Profile Cliff, but the options are endless. It will be just you and your guide on this adventure, allowing us to customize everything to you, including start time, pace, and choice of routes. Hours of Operation
- By reservation only.
- Start time will vary depending on destination and schedule.
- The climbing day will generally last between 3 and 5 pm.
Prices includes; ropes, harnesses, helmets, and rock climbing shoes.
- Private: $350
- 2 guests: $200 / person
- More than 3 guests: $150 / person
- Longer custom adventures are available. Prices will vary starting at $350.
What To Bring
- Appropriate clothing and footwear for hiking to the cliff area.
- A small backpack.
- Your own lunch, snacks, and water.
- Transportation to and from the cliff.
All reservations are charged in full at the time of booking. Cancellation of your reservation less than 48 hours prior to the day of your tour will result in a forfeit of the full amount of the reservation. If your tour is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseeable conditions, we will make every attempt to contact you ahead of time. If we call you within 24 hours you will receive a full refund or have the opportunity to reschedule. However, this 24 hour notice may not always be possible due to the unpredictable nature of the weather in New Hampshire. *All activities are subject to change.
