It’s the Fourth of July and the Omni Mount Washington Resort wants YOU to come and celebrate, with a three day weekend filled with spirited fun for all! Wave your American Flag as you enjoy delicious food prepared by our chefs, participate in our daily activities and simply enjoy time with family and friends. The excitement never stops, with our annual rubber duck race, an epic water balloon fight and of course the fireworks display! This will be a weekend of memories that you soon won’t forget.

Start your holiday weekend with a great walk/hike with friends and family. Be guided by one of our activity attendants and engage in friendly conversation. A beautiful waterfall is your last stop before heading back and enjoying all things red, white and blue!
Civil War Encampment Re-enactment
Travel back in time to the Civil War as the Vermont Civil War Hemlocks and the 5th New Hampshire Volunteer Regiment set up a replica of a Civil War campsite. Complete with tents, flags, cook fires and other appropriate equipment. Engage in the activities of the Civil War soldiers as you learn about marching, drilling, posting guards, writing letters and cooking meals. Walk through the campsite, talk to the soldiers and learn about the life of a Vermont or New Hampshire soldier.
- 11am: Infantry Drill: Join in on the Drill and become a Union Solider
- 12pm: Lunch with the Troops: Rations Issued
- 1:00pm: Firing of the Cannon to Start the Battle of Wettysburg Followed by a Lecture
- 2:30pm: Final Drill

Show your pride as you decorate an Uncle Sam hat or a Lady Liberty crown, there will be an assortment of festive crafts and fun for the whole family to enjoy!
Battle of Wettysburg
Fight mighty with your team to stay dry in this Civil War themed water balloon fight. Who will win the battle and rule the Resort grounds! The balloon fight will begin promptly at 1:00pm. We ask participants to arrive on the Ammonoosuc lawn to decide teams by 12:45pm.

Start your weekend with a bang! Raise a glass to the Stars & Stripes as you are welcomed to the Resort to start your celebration with a soda fountain float. Plan your star spangled vacation as you learn about the special resort offerings for this holiday weekend!

Gentle Flow Yoga
Enjoy an afternoon of relaxation with our Gentle Flow Yoga Class. Class begins with breath awareness exercises and a few moments of quiet reflection. Some gentle stretching opens the way to a practice of yoga poses to build strength, flexibility, and awareness. All levels are welcome. Year round, Lindsay brings her larger than life Puppet Pals to children and family audiences across New England. Filled with silliness, audience engagement, and unique memorable characters, this series of charming short stories will delight the young and the young at heart!
Annual Rubber Duck Race
The annual rubber duck race has become a must see event at the Omni Mount Washington Resort. Join us as we release hundreds of ducks into the Ammonoosuc River. Will your duck paddle its way to the finish line first? Sign ups will start at 11am at the Princess Bridge where you can choose from an assortment of themed ducks. The ducks will be dropped in the river promptly at 11:30am.

Star Spangled Spectacular
Join us for our Annual Independence Day Celebration at the Bretton Woods Ski Area. $5.00 donation per car will be collected for a local non-profit. There will be a family friendly activities, local vendors, and live entertainment, plenty of delicious food and our famous fireworks display. Please bring your preferred seating, as tables will be limited. Gates open at 5:00pm so be sure to arrive early to find the perfect viewing spot.

Prohibition Tea Party
This event is for our 21+ guests, they will be transported back in time to when the Cave Bar and Grille illegally served guests alcohol during the Prohibition years. Enjoy music from the period while sipping on 1920’s cocktails served in teacups and sample some 1920’s inspired appetizers. There will be a presentation on the history of Prohibition and its outcome, and they will leave the event knowing more about the 18th Amendment and the part the hotel played in it.
