Father’s Day is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than here at the Omni Mount Washington Resort! From adventure experiences, culinary specials, and family fun, we’ve rounded up ideas below. Don’t forget to check out all of our great activities at Bretton Woods Ski Area to round out your weekend with Dad!

Morning Yoga
A gentle 60-minute vinyasa flow designed to help you unwind by relaxing your body and mind. Move with your breath as you enjoy a curated playlist and end with a peaceful 10-minute meditation. If there’s a theme, purpose, or intention behind your travels, we can weave it into practice. Some blackout dates may apply.

Guided Nature Walk
There is no better place to experience nature at its finest than the White Mountain National Forest that surrounds the Omni Mount Washington Resort. From flowers to trees to animals and everything in between, explore what makes up our vibrant eco-system at the base of Mount Washington and along the Ammonoosuc River. Walks are for all ability levels and take place on the Bridle Path. Proper footwear is required.

Disc Golf at Bretton Woods
Disc golf is played much like traditional golf, except that flying discs are used, and the 18-hole course is set in the base area of the Bretton Woods Ski Area. Each player carries a disc golf package, including an individual scorecard and a set of 2-3 discs of different sizes and weights. Much like the way a set of golf clubs are used, one of the three discs is selected for each stroke. Disc golf is recommended for groups of up to four players. This small recreational course is designed for beginners and is family-friendly.

Guided West Wall Climb

Join our experienced guides for the awe-inspiring West Wall guided rock-climbing adventure at the Bretton Woods Adventure Center. This rock-climbing experience is designed for people with a wide range of climbing abilities and previous climbing experience is not required. This three-hour guided rock climb is tailored to each group based on individual abilities and goals. One guide will accompany up to three guests and work with each group to choose the most appropriate route. Guests will be belayed on all technical climbing sections. Fixed ropes may be used as aid if needed. After a ride up the Skyway Gondola, a short hike will take you to the bottom of the southwest face of Mount Oscar, better known to Bretton Woods skiers as West Mountain. Several routes of varying difficulty, all approximately 400’ in length, ascend a granite cliff to an elevation of 3,000 feet. Situated in the White Mountain National Forest, the cliffs provide open views of the Pemigewasset Wilderness and Zealand Valley.

Guided Historic Hotel Tour
The historic Mount Washington Hotel has a rich and fascinating history. From its construction in 1902 by Joseph Stickney, builder and industrialist, to today’s role as one of the last remaining grand hotels, the history will astound you.

Scenic Gondola Rides

Experience the stunning views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range with a scenic ride on the Bretton Woods Skyway Gondola. This 12-minute journey takes you to the summit to enjoy panoramic views and the option to dine at Switchback Grille or grab a quick snack at Peaks Café, both located in the Rosebrook Lodge.

Guided Mountain Bike Ride

Join one of our guides for a scenic, 2-hour ride on our resort mountain bike trails. These rides are geared toward enjoying the scenery and riding at a pace and on trails that are appropriate for your skill and fitness level. Typically, we will ride from 6-10 miles round trip, with some up and down on mostly moderate trails. There are a few trails with more challenging climbs if you want to push a little harder. Participants should be in good health, know how to ride a bicycle, and be comfortable riding on uneven surfaces.

Summer of Kids
Enjoy two hours of poolside fun this summer! Each day the Activities & Events Department will have poolside crafts and activities for our guests to enjoy as a family. The first hour will be summer themed crafting and the second hour will be either a game or activity. This is not a drop off activity. All children require adult supervision. Some blackout dates may apply.

Bourbon & Bacon Tasting

We’ve taken a true American spirit and paired it with an all-American favorite. A tasting menu of cocktails and bourbons along with bacon-centered small bites will make this a pairing not to be missed. This is a 21+ activity. The cost per person for this event is $50 plus taxes and service charge. Resort guests and BWC members only.

Let the games begin! Have fun at this casual, family-friendly tournament for all to participate.

Celebrate Father's Day with a spectacular round of golf, where Dad plays for free at either the Mount Washington or the Mount Pleasant golf course on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Lawn and Observatory Bar Games
Are you looking for activities to add enjoyment to your family time? Outdoor games are an often overlook source of entertainment for friends and family alike. There is more to lawn than mere leisure! Outdoor games can also help children develop skills such as timing, hand-eye coordination, and good sportsmanship. These games are self-directed. Games will be available for check out at the Pool Shack by an Activities Attendant to play at your leisure.
