Bretton Woods Morning Snow Report for Wednesday, March 11, 2026
Clouds and Cooler Air: Well, it was nothing short of a hot Tuesday. The sun was beaming, and temperatures reached the sixty-degree mark—a record setting temperature for the day. Needless to say, it was a pure slushy, surfy, springtime ski day out there. For today, a shift in the weather overnight has brought cloudy skies and occasional rain showers throughout the day. While the recent warmth will fade, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 46°F at the base and 42°F at the summit. Areas of drizzle and fog will likely limit visibility, so skiing with caution will be key. As the season progresses, a few more trails will be joining the closed list, so please continue to respect all ropes and signage. The snow will remain soft, though the cooler air will offer a different feel than the recent sun-soaked days.
Operational Summary: Lifts will spin at 9:00 AM daily as the mountain continues its permanent non-weekend schedule. Grooming teams will be out early to prepare the terrain for the day’s conditions. While the tubing hill remains closed, we are still looking toward a possible March 14th reopening if the nights stay cool enough to preserve the lanes. Winds will be light at the base, though summit gusts may reach 20 to 30 mph as the day progresses.
Events & Activities: The countdown to our spring celebrations is still on. We are looking forward to the Beach Party on March 28th and the Passholder Barbecue on March 29th. These events will be a great way to wrap up the month and start the final weeks of the season!
Safety & Tips: We are highlighting point number one of the Skier Responsibility Code. You must always stay in control, and you must be able to avoid people and objects. This is imperative in having a great ski day for everyone. Lift tickets remain available for purchase online in advance to save on window rates, and the Live Summit Cam is available to check visibility before arriving.
-
For Wednesday, March 11: Expect a cloudy day with occasional rain showers. Be prepared for areas of drizzle and fog, which may limit visibility as the day stays cooler than the recent warm stretch.
The base will reach a high of 46°F (6:00 PM) after an early morning start around 38°F. The summit will hit a high of 42°F (3:00 PM), with temperatures actually rising slightly overnight due to an inversion. Winds will be light at the base (5–10 mph), while the summit sees 10–20 mph gusts, increasing to 30 mph late.
