Bretton Woods Forecasted Snow Report for Thursday, January 29th, 2026
Thursday is shaping up to be another stellar mid-winter day at the Woods! With 103 trails open across 63 trails and 40 glades, there is plenty of room to roam no matter how you like to ride. Groomers will lay down smooth and soft corduroy overnight that will carve beautifully, while the woods are still holding onto that playful, wintery powder we all chase. In other great news, after some parts being held up due to weather, the beloved BEQII lift is expected to be loading skiers and riders on Friday. Now’s the time— grab your gear and come make some turns!
Mountain Notes: The goods are still out there, especially in our Stickney, Zephyr, West Mountain and Rosebrook glade systems, with pockets of snow rewarding those ducking into the trees. Wednesday morning brought some exciting news to the grooming lineup; for the first time this season, Granny’s Grit, Willey’s Slide, and Herb’s Secret were groomed and are ready to rip. Our groomers will continue to groom these trails as conditions allow. The Stickney T-bar will be open for glade skiing, but the cabin will not be open. For those seeking the ultimate challenge, “Mom Said No” is open and riding fast, just be careful and ride with a buddy. Enjoy the 100% open terrain!
Operational Summary: On Thursday, expect to see 7 lifts operating, all starting at 9:00 AM including the Telegraph T-Bar which will now run daily, with the cabin on the weekends. Our top-rated groomers will be out overnight to lay the fresh corduroy you have come to know and love. Expect a Machine Groomed / Powder snow surface on over 100 trails/glades at the largest resort in New Hampshire.
Plan Your Day: Skip the post-storm ticket window lines by booking online and check our live summit cams to see the conditions before you even pull into the lot. We’ll see you on the slopes!
Forecasted weather for Thursday, January 28: Expect variable clouds and lingering cold temperatures, with scattered flurries likely throughout the day.
The base will reach a high of 12°F (3:00 PM) after a frigid low of -7°F, while the summit will only hit a high of 6°F. Winds will be steady from the northwest, blowing 7–13 mph at the base and 10–20 mph at the summit.
