Thanksgiving Celebration

November 27th - December 1st, 2019

We invite you to join our annual celebration to give thanks, create holiday memories and start family traditions during this Thanksgiving Celebration. During your stay, experience an abundance of holiday inspired family activities. From an exotic animal show to family bingo, we have activities the whole family will enjoy! Immerse yourself in the holiday season, with the Annual Omni Mount Washington Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. A must see event is Santa’s first appearance to the castle in the mountains.

Letters to Santa

Stop by the post office on the lower level of the hotel. Santa is very busy, but he loves to get letters from boys and girls. Write down your wish list or just say hello! All letters that include a return address or room number will get a response from Santa.

It’s Beginning to Look A Lot like Winter: Craft Room

Sit with your family and enjoy the weekend by making some winter crafts! Take them home to decorate and use as a reminder of your stay here in the White Mountains.

Cocoa with Mrs. Claus

Bring the little ones in your life to enjoy special holiday music and holiday crafts. Decorate cookies and listen to a holiday story from Mrs. Claus, all while sipping on some hot chocolate. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting the Activities Concierge Desk at 603-278-8989. There is a fee of $100 per family (limit of 5) or $25 per person. Children ages 2 and under are complimentary. This rate does include tax and gratuity. This activity is not a drop off program. All adults accompanying the children must purchase a seat.

Cookie Decorating with Mrs. Claus

Mrs. Claus is in town for this special sweet social. Come decorate your own cookie, and pay close attention as Mrs. Claus is giving out important decorating tips and instruction straight from the North Pole. While supplies last.

Children’s Planetarium Program

Join Carthage College professor of physics and astronomy Douglas Arion for an adventure into the wonders of the Universe in the planetarium! See the sky and explore the beautiful patterns of stars we see at night. There will be two entry times, one at 5:00pm and another at 5:30pm, space is limited.

Gingerbread House Decorating

Roll up those sleeves and put your thinking cap on as you create your own gingerbread house. We will provide the gingerbread building blocks and a vast range of sweets, treats, icing and tools to get your creative side rolling. Come join us to create a gingerbread winter wonderland. If you choose, your gingerbread house can be on display for the remainder of the holiday season, or take your sweet house home… but gobble it up before Santa’s elves do! $35 per house, cost includes an unassembled gingerbread house kit with a base, candy and icing. Limited spaces available please sign up with the Activities Concierge Desk at 603-278-8989. If you can’t make it to the scheduled times, don’t stress about it! We will be selling kits at the Activities Concierge Desk this Christmas season! Pick one up whenever you’d like!

S’mores and Singing by the Fire with Mark Dionne

Gooey marshmallows melted chocolate, crunchy graham crackers and plenty of laughs are to be had by the fire. Enjoy a sing-along with guitarist Mark Dionne.

Stargazing Lecture

Dr. Douglas Arion, Director of the Carthage Institute of Astronomy and Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Carthage College, will give a presentation on the intricate and fascinating connections between life on Earth and the history and phenomena of the Universe around us. Learn about the amazing sequence of events that led to the formation of the solar system and the Earth, and how we have come to understand what we are and why we are here. Following the presentation, weather permitting, there will be observing through telescopes.
