Conquer the Trails in All Four Seasons

With a picturesque trail network perfect for fat tire biking, Bretton Woods was made to be explored on two wheels. Deception Trail System from the Nordic Center, or our Fabyan’s Field trail system near the Bretton Woods Base Lodge are both designed with the entire family in mind. Fat tire bikes are available in various sizes, including children sizes. All rentals include a helmet and trail pass.

  • Fat bikes are available for rent at the Bretton Woods Nordic Center. Enjoy our fat bike specific trails on our Deception Trail System or Fabyan’s Field. Helmets are required and included with your rental.

    Right of Way:
    Bikers must yield to snowshoers and Nordic skiers

    • Tire width must be wider than 3.75 inches for adult bikes and 2.5 inches for children’s bikes
    • Tire pressure must be less than 8 PSI
    • Enough floatation that you can travel over snow without leaving a rut deeper than one inch
    • Sufficient traction that you can safely control your bike and ride in a straight line
    • Trails may close due to temperatures and conditions
