The Mount Pleasant Course

First opened in 1895, the historic, nine-hole Mount Pleasant Golf Course offers players a scenic, challenging round along the banks of the Ammonoosuc River. A classic design from prominent course architect Alexander Findlay, dubbed “the Father of American golf,” the course features just over 3,000 yards of green and a layout that highlights the natural features of the landscape. The course was restored in 1989 by Cornish & Silva architects in partnership with renowned golfers Gene Sarazen and Ken Venturi, and has played host to legends of the game like Gilbert Nicholls, Harry Vardon, J.W. Taylor, and Willie Anderson.
