The pristine streams and rivers surrounding the Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa property offer some of the finest fly-fishing in New England. Head to Stone Pillar Lodge to rent premium gear, join a beginner clinic on the Ammonoosuc River, or book a fully guided adventure in pursuit of rainbow and native brook trout.

    Step into the art of fly-fishing with a “teach by terrain” clinic on the Ammonoosuc River. Led by an experienced guide, this two-hour introduction covers the fundamentals of fly-casting, selecting the right fly for your quarry, and reading the river to find the most productive spots to cast a line. All necessary equipment is provided, including rod and flies.

    Waders are not included. Closed-toe water shoes are strongly recommended for guests without their own.

    Requirements

    • Open to ages 13 and older
    • All participants 16 and older must present a valid NH State Fishing License. Licenses can be purchased in advance at the NH Fish and Game website, or at the beginning of your clinic by credit card. Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early to purchase on-site
    • A parent or guardian must be present to sign a waiver for participants under 18
    • Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance

    Explore a classic New England trout stream set entirely within the Omni Mount Washington Resort property, in the shadow of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range. Alongside your private guide, venture through local streams and ponds in pursuit of prized rainbow trout and native brook trout. Upon arrival, your guide will outfit you with a vest, an assortment of flies, and a fly rod before leading you to the water.

    A valid, printed NH State Fishing License must be presented prior to departure and is not included in the price. Licenses can be purchased in advance online at the NH Fish and Game website.

    What to Bring

    • Appropriate clothing and closed-toe water shoes
    • A small backpack
    • Your own lunch, snacks, and water
    • Sunglasses
    • Sunscreen and bug spray
    • A waterproof jacket

    Requirements

    • Every participant must sign a Waiver and Release Form. Guests under 18 must have a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian
    • Open to ages 13 and older; all guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
    • All participants 16 and older must present a valid NH State Fishing License. Licenses can be purchased in advance at the NH Fish and Game website, prior to your trip.
    • If river conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable, Bretton Woods reserves the right to cancel the program; a full refund will be issued
