Alpine Touring Demos- New for 2019!

Ever wanted to "Earn Your Turns" or give the latest in Alpine Touring equipment a test drive before buying your own equipment? Now you can at the Bretton Woods Demo Center!

What is Alpine Touring (AT)? A basic AT set-up consists of skis, boots, bindings and climbing skins. Skis used for alpine touring are typically a high performance all-mountain alpine ski, much like what you may already be used to. AT bindings allow the heel to move freely off of the ski while you’re traveling uphill and when it’s time to ski down, the bindings lock down in the heel. AT boots are similar to your 'normal' alpine ski boot but feature a walk mode that loosens the cuff for more freedom of movement when hiking or skinning.

  • Salomon XDR 88Ti w/Salomon Guardian bindings (172cm)
  • Salomon Myriad Women's 85 w/Salomon Guardian bindings (161cm)
  • Nordica Enforcer 93 w/Marker Tour F12 bindings (177cm)
  • Nordica Navigator 85 w/Marker Tour F12 bindings (165cm)
  • Nordica Astral Women's 88 w/Marker Tour F12 bindings (158cm)
*Note: All AT Demos include skins & boots
New to backcountry skiing? Check out our "Introduction to Backcountry Skiing" clinics and learn how to use your equipment, travel uphill efficiently, what to bring and do it all within the resort boundaries.
